The London based auction house has brought some of the biggest players together for an event entitled ‘Contemporary Art & Design’. Collectors with bottomless bank accounts took out the chequebooks to get their hands on work from the likes of Conor Harrington, Banksy, Shepary Fairy and Jose Parla. The auction is creating stirs around the globe with the extraordinary pieces fetching extraordinary prices. One of our favourite Irish talents, Conor Harrington, stole the headlines by breaking the €100k price tag with ‘Dance With The Devil’.  This is the first piece of work that the Cork man has sold at auction. The intricate painting is from his exceptionally successful Dead Meat series from 2013.  We will keep you up to date with Conor’s future work as he prepares for a show in Moscow and outdoor murals in Denmark, Vienna, New York and Malaga in the coming months. But for now, here are some of our favourite pieces from the auction.
